new fritzing version & s65 tft schematics

There is a new version of Fritzing out for 2 days now. Yay!
I jumped onto the opportunity and created some schematics for the S65 TFT display while playing with the new version.

More about the new Fritzing version and the schematics after the jump...

W00t, new Fritzing version. Great!
Here are some thoughts:

  • You can now set any value for resistors, and Fritzing automagically generates the appropriate part, complete with color coding! Nice!
  • The schematics view has improved tremendously! The autorouting is well usable now (at least with a simple schematic like the posted one). Just make generous use of ground symbols, and it will be fine for most parts. One thing it still does not like: Perfect alignment, it creates unnecessary bending points. If you encounter this, just move the offending part a few pixels away from perfectly straight alignment.
  • It has a few new parts
  • It is way more stable, no crashes or disappearing wires yet.
  • Export now works well, and includes the Arduino's graphic both in SVG and in PNG exports, and both in breadboard and in schematic view
  • Still likes to introduce some unecessary wires onto the breadboard if you edit thing in the schematic view
  • Sometimes parts are disconnected from the circuit, or connections are plain wrong (I got lots of short over some of the pins of the optocoupler for example). Simply re-seating the offending part or wire usually fixes this.
All in all: Great update! It's even more fun to play with Fritzing than before.

Ok, finally a bit of schematics for the S65 LCD/TFT.
The pin-out to the Arduino is not in line with the previously posted test sketch, so take care. The rest of the circuit is perfectly valid for the test sketch though.
Also pay attention to the voltage rails: They are connected to +3.3V, not the usual +5V! Oh and theres an optocoupler on it, but I'm sure you can figure out what that's for.
